AROUND 1300 homes in Orange were left without power for more than an hour last night after a small fire damaged a transformer on Nicole Drive.

The fire started at around 8.15pm, however power was restored to most homes by 9.40pm.
The areas affected by the power interruption included Phillip Street, Wahratta Way, Matthews Avenue, Avondale Drive, Molong Road, Sieben Drive and Nicole Drive.
