Now in its 30th year the fair has donated thousands of dollars to assist women’s groups locally and further afield.
Among the groups to be assisted are Mainly Music at St Barnabas Anglican Church, the Orange Multiple Births Association, Orange Family Support Service and Camp Quality’s Tractor Trek.
Educational programs for year 10 students at Orange and Canobolas high schools run by Brent Sanders and an internal Zonta program to provide breast cushions for women who have had a mastectomy will also benefit.
Zonta’s Zelma Bone said they are looking forward to support such a wide range of groups.
“It’s quite a broad range of support across the community to assist women, children and school students,” she said.
There are 28 dealers coming from across Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania and NSW to the Zonta Orange Antique Fair.
Fair dealer liaison officer doctor Sue Hatcher said there will be a few new dealers among this year’s lineup.
“Cinderella Bygones will have things like linen and lace and things for the boudoir,” she said.
“There will be specialist in jewellery and other people that have been coming back for a long period of time.”
The fair will open tonight with a gala event including food and local wines at the Orange Function Centre.
It will also be open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
