Afternoon update.
EARLY this morning a young passenger threatened his taxi driver with violence if he didn't give him all of his day's takings.
The attempted robbery happened at round 2.40 am after the driver arrived at the offender's Orchard Grove Road destination.
An altercation broke out between the two with the offender eventually pushed out of the vehicle.
Police said the 63-year-old victim was distressed when he reported the incident at Orange police station a short time later.
Police are looking for a boy aged between 12 and 14 years old.
