IT’S all about who you know to get ahead in industry.
The annual Orange Ag Club Rural Links dinner is on again to connect students with professionals in the agricultural industry. The event is designed to help students get a head start with their career and allow industry representatives to promote their businessess.
Orange Ag Club member Richard Connell said the event was a win-win for students and professionals.
“It provides the representatives an opportunity to support the future of their industry by encouraging youth to keep involved,” he said.
“We hope that students in attendance will be able to develop a networking base with professionals.”
This year’s guest speakers will be Argentinian Roberto Pieretti and his wife Cynthia who will talk on the development and future of wheat production in Argentinian agriculture and its relevance to Australia. World Council of Sheep Breeders vice-president Ben Watts will speak the future of wool production in Australia.
The dinner will be held on August 1 at the Orange Ex-Services’ Club. For tickets contact orangeagclub@gmail.com.
