Duntryleague worker’s wallet stolen by armed robber

A STAFF member of Duntryleage Golf Club has been left shaken  but un-injured after being robbed at knife point early yesterday morning.

The 52-year-old man was leaving the pro-shop at around 6.05am when he was initially approached by a man who was soon joined by two others.

All three men were wearing dark clothing, including hoodies.

One of the men, who was holding a knife, demanded the victim hand over his wallet which they took before leaving the grounds in a dark coloured old-model sedan.

The men are believed to have quickly existed the grounds via the Woodward Street exit.

Canobolas Local Command duty officer Peter Atkins said the victim did the right thing by handing over his wallet.

“It’s very concerning to hear the man attacked while going about his daily work,” inspector Atkins said.

Detectives established a crime scene in the Duntryleague car park yesterday morning

Inspector Atkin said police want anyone with information about the incident to contact Orange police.
