RUGBY LEAGUE: New Orange Hawks captain-coach Tim Mortimer will get his first chance to look at the players at his disposal this season when the two blues take on Bathurst Panthers at CSU Orange today.
Panthers were originally meant to trial against Campbelltown at Carrington Park, however, after that trial fell through Hawks picked up the slack.
The two blues’ under 18s will take on Panthers’ juniors from 4pm while a mixture of first division and premier league players will get a run in a senior trial at 5.30pm.
During the week Mortimer told the Central Western Daily he was looking forward to seeing both old and new players in action for the first time, with the two blues one of the big players on the player market throughout the Group 10 pre-season.
Both trial games are at CSU Orange.
