Young people who have had too much to drink, turn up at Orange hospital on a regular basis to be treated for injuries sustained from falling over or getting involved in fights.
Last year Orange hospital documented more than 150 cases of young people, usually between the ages of 18 and 30, who were treated in the hospital's accident and emergency department.
Orange Health Service Emergency physician and Director of trauma, Dr Brian Burns said solutions need to be found as to why young people continue to binge drink and injure themselves and others despite widespread media focus on the issue.
Dr Burns said young women were not exempt, often sustaining angle and leg injuries from falling over drunk.
