CANOBOLAS Zone firefighters have been trialling a prototype fire truck this week that has a capacity three times that of their current vehicles.
The category six heavy tanker is the only one of its kind in the state; it carries more water and can operate with less crew.
NSW Rural Fire Service Infrastructure and Asset manager superintendent Arthur Sharp took Central Western Daily reporter Nadine Morton for a test drive in the new truck today to show off what it is really capable of.
