FOX attacks are on the rise according to Orange Poultry Club president Bill Trimmer.
Mr Trimmer said fox attacks had caused devastation to Orange residents breeding show chickens.
"There is nothing more cruel than a fox attack," he said.
"I've had some sickening experiences."
NSW Department of Primary Industries project manager Peter West said it was difficult to calculate the fox population.
"People need to work with their neighbours to stop them," he said.
