MEMBER for Calare John Cobb says it is an inappropriate time to give politicians another pay rise three months after their last one.
Just days after the carbon tax was introduced, Mr Cobb, along with other politicians, have received a pay rise of 3 per cent.
In the last three months Mr Cobb has received a boost of almost $50,000 to his salary.
"I understand totally that Australians would be unhappy about it, given the government has brought in an unnecessary tax to cover their own inept performance, that is creating uncertainty in households," he said.
