Drivers warned about frosty conditions

FREEZING weather conditions over the next two days with the possibility of snow on Mount Canobolas has prompted police to issue a warning to drivers in the area.

"It is really important drivers take note of the conditions and drive accordingly," Canobolas Local Area Command duty officer Inspector Dave Harvey said.

Tomorrow Orange's maximum temperature is not expected to go above six degrees with Monday's top temperature expected to be one degree lower at five degrees.

There is a 70 per cent chance of rain tomorrow and on Monday an 80 per cent chance of rain.

The minimum temperatures tomorrow and Monday are predicted to be zero.

Police say drivers need to watch out for areas where there may be black ice in the city and on surrounding roads and slow down where appropriate.
