Man charged with Long Point Fire 

A 29-year-old Orange man will face court after allegedly letting off fireworks on New Year's Eve, causing a bushfire north of Orange, which has so far burnt out 475 hectares.

The man allegedly set off fireworks from a campsite near the Macquarie River at Long Point.

Police were told one of the fireworks fell over and shot across the river to dry scrubland, which caught fire.
