MOTOR racing star of the 1950s, 60s and 70s Leo Geoghegan returns to Orange today to launch a book on the history of the Gnoo Blas racing circuit.

Mr Geoghegan began his motor racing career in Orange in 1954 and will today launch Chequered Times, a History of Gnoo Blas Orange 1953-1961.
Mr Geoghegan, his father Tom and younger brother Ian were regular competitors in Orange with Leo going on to win the Australian Gold Star championship in 1970 and Ian a string of touring car championships, now the V8 series.
The book was written by Orange journalist and motor sport enthusiast Denis Gregory and published by Orange City Council.
The launch is on at Orange City Library by mayor John Davis at 3.30pm today.
The book will retail for $29.95. Anyone wishing to purchase a signed copy of the book by the author can attend the launch.
