EIGHT-year-old Tori O’Neil has been awarded the highest honour from the Ambulance Service of NSW during a special ceremony at Orange East Public School today.
Tori was awarded the Ambulance Service of NSW Commendation of Courage, presented to people who placed themselves at great risk of injury and displayed courage of a high order.
Tori’s actions saved her father who suffered from an asthma attack when they were camping in Mookerawa State Park.
She walked for over a kilometre in the dark, armed with only a torch, to find help.
