Critically or seriously ill people who go through the emergency department at the hospital will be treated quicker than many other hospitals in NSW.
Hospital general manager Catherine Nowlan says the strong report card is the result of staff dedication to implementing new procedures and systems to improve patient flow.
The latest round of statistics, released for the period from July to September, show an improvement in treatment times in the major urgent categories.
However, waiting times for non-urgent cases such as earache, colds and flu is several minutes longer than it was for the same period last year, which hospital authorities say is a reflection of Orange's calibre as an acute care hospital.
