THE Golden West Race Club has a change of management as Chantal Bremner replaces Michael Plummer in the top job.
Details of Plummer’s exit from the club are being kept quiet despite sensational rumours of his departure from the operations manager’s role doing the rounds.
The GWRC has rebuked the rumours, while Plummer has refused to comment until legal proceedings regarding a settlement are finalised.
Plummer’s departure has sparked a restructuring at the GWRC with Bremner announced as secretary manager this week.
She takes on the full-time position with the GWRC after serving as a part-time employee recently and the new secretary manager comes to the racing industry with a background in accounting.
Bremner will be joined by promotions officer Natalie Crowe, who acted as GWRC Melbourne Cup day ambassador for the non-TAB meeting at Towac Park on November 3, while Alison Webster has been employed as office manager.
The new team at the GWRC have little time to settle in as the club will host its next meeting at Towac Park next Friday.
