Katrina takes out star bowler award

LET’S get this show on the road with a glance at the Wednesday 6.30pm autostyle league, where there were two star bowlers, these being Katrina Gosper from Ozzie and The Fatman with 135 over average and Luke Cooper from Chukum with 133 over average for the series.

Next in the queue is the Monday 10am triples and from here came a star bowler in the shape of a young lady who just had to keep her name in front of us and this was Katrina Gosper from JFK with 147 over average for the series.

Then there’s the Tuesday mixed singles and the star bowler from this league was David Quinlan, who managed to score 126 over average for the series.

And the junior leagues don’t miss out, with the Monday brats throwing up as star bowler Isaac Lettice from Pin Pals with 115 over average for the series.

And finally for this week, there’s the Tuesday juniors and from here came star bowler Rebeckah McLean from Team French Fries, who scored 81 over average for the series.

OK now, the star bowler for the week and winner of the auto wash, compliments of Pete’s Car Wash, was as you’ve all no doubt worked out Katrina Gosper, who after a couple of showings scored 147 over average for the series.

This week, the high roller champion and winner of the three free practice games was not chosen for a high-game score.

The winner was Luke Cooper from the Wednesday 6.30pm Autostyle league, whose score of 275 helped him on the way to a personal best series of 700.

Other bowlers from the same league included Michael Burke 267, Chris Lees 257, Ken McLachlan 226, Nick Agland 230, Geoff Smith 219, Katrina Gosper (another mention) 237, Sharon Clark 214, Ray Clark 226, Larry Sprankel 233 and David Hayward 215.

Other bowlers having a bit of a go included Marilyn Schwenke 210, Derek Jones 225, Ron Forbes 256 (included in a series of 929), Keryn Delaney 229 (838), Hayden Gosper 222, John Clyde 210, David Quinlan 248, Sebastian Hodge 224, Ross Southwell 219, Ray Tyquin 214, Matt Caughlan 203, Luke Trott 234, Tennille Smith 224, Chris Cooper 214, Craig Hill 238 and Jason Drew 231.

The almost made it hero and winner of the Mackie’s Cafe open order was Isaac Lettice, who bowled 161 (PB).

Other bowlers feeling hungry included Angus Gilmore 176, Debbie McKeown 177, Mary Barber 147, Heather Hooper 141, Garry Ozols 180, Haemish Wright 130, Edith Gowing 173, Ray Chamberlain 199, Amanda Chamberlain 169, Geoff Sims 176, Scott Sims 189, John Rich 182, Tammie Robinson 174, June Graham 172, Cathy Southwell 174, Blake Robinson 196, Jamie Dykstra 173, Jessica Smith 187, Kevin Delaney 191, Michael Quinlan 195, Jacob French 197, Greg Perry 191, Henry Phillips 189 and the ancient codger in the photo 190.

The second weekly female of note and next in contention for April’s gift certificate from MJs All Hair - All Occasions was previously mentioned Katrina Gosper because of her efforts in the Wednesday 6.30pm league, where her roll of 237 was included in her score of 135 over average for the series.

This week’s junior of the week and winner of the McDonalds sports award was a previously mentioned bowler who has put his hand up for a second grab.

This was Isaac Lettice, whose score of 161 (PB) was 71 over average.

Our encouragement award, the Video Ezy voucher, was claimed by Ray Chamberlain (also mentioned earlier), whose roll of 199 was 63 over average.
