RIDERS from Orange, Carcoar, Cumnock and Cudal featured in the top 10 at the NSW Pony Club One Day Event on the weekend.
The event was held in Geurie with riders and horses coming from across NSW for the competition.
Orange’s Lachlan Dawes was fourth in the Novice 12-15 years division on Hanigan, while Cumnock’s Clare Gavin wasn’t far behind in seventh on Douglas.
Carcoar’s Jack McAnulty came fourth in the highly competitive Advanced 17-25 years division on Covers, edging out Orange’s Alex Wolters-Mannix and ESB Irish Ebony in fifth.
In the Advanced 15-17 years division, Cudal’s Georgie Mutton and Ke Oki finished fifth.
Orange’s Thomas Stocks was ninth in the Advanced 13-15 years division on Show Me The Money.
Cumnock’s Holly Gavin finished ninth in the Novice 15-17 years division on Yamba.
Alex Wolters-Mannix and Holly Gavin had further success when they won the closest to the optimum time medals for the cross country phase in their divisions.
Riders from the Orange region who also represented Zone Three but missed out on top 10 finishes were Annabel Mutton (Cudal), Shannon Anderson and Jacob Hausler (Orange).
