KYRAN Bubb starred for Orange City Youth as they recorded an outright win over Centrals in their Orange District Cricket Association second grade match.
Bubb scored 113 last Saturday as City Youth made 258 in their innings.
Centrals made only 125 in reply, with Duncan Baird dominating with 85, before being forced to follow on.
Bubb then took 4-36 to help City Youth bowl Centrals out for just 77 in their second innings.
This gives City Youth outright victory by an innings and 56 runs, with Nick Cooper another strong performer as he took a combined 6-53 in Centrals’ two innings.
CYMS Moroneys also secured an outright win over Waratahs.
Waratahs were bowled out for 122 before Nick Wright scored 89 at No. 9 to see Moroneys make 225 and claim first innings points.
Waratahs could then only muster 115 in their second innings, with Andrew Thomas making 51 as Pat Madden claimed an impressive 4-24 with the ball.
This set Moroneys just 13 runs for outright victory and they easily accounted for the small total to make the runs with 10 wickets in hand.
There were runs aplenty in the game between CYMS Fahys and Waratah Simpsons as a Mick MacMahon century helped Waratah Simpsons chase down 294.
Daryl Roweth hit 184 on the first day of the two-day match to help set Waratah Simpsons 295 for victory and it didn’t prove enough as MacMahon added 117 for Waratahs.
He was supported by Anthony Daintith (53 not out), Rob Lo Faro (36) and Marc Udy (35) as Waratah Simpsons reached 7-340 at stumps on day two to record a first innings win.
