ORANGE’S Under 16 Girls side is preparing for the division two Western Junior League finals.

The representative side qualified for the finals under the guidance of coach Trevor Carpenter and assistant Alice Hone.

They recently contested the WJL third round in Dubbo where they played three great games.

They came away with a 60-29 win over Dubbo but were narrowly defeated by Griffith 57-52 and Lithgow 74-53 in hard-fought matches.

The WJL finals will be played at Orange’s Sir Neville Howse Stadium at the Anzac Park Sports Facility on August 1 and 2.

The girls will be hoping to perform well at their home centre.
