ORANGE’S top distance runners will be chasing medals today at the NSW All Schools cross country carnival at Eastern Creek.
A total of 19 runners from the area will run in Sydney, with places at nationals also on offer.
James Sheahan Catholic High School’s Nathan Sutherland and Daniel Bruton head the list of Orange’s male runners, which also boasts Rob Bennett and Todd Lang.
Orange High School’s Matt Cotten, Chris Cotten and Angus Parsons have also qualified for All Schools, along with Katie Strike, Canowindra’s Keira Whatman and Jacqui Wilkinson from Canobolas Rural Technology High School.
Primary school students from the area are also competing, with Connor Whitely and Nelson Harris from Canobolas Public School running.
Orange Public School is another represented, with Joshua Beasley and Brock Campbell entered.
Cudal Public has Georgie Thornberry and Arkie Pickering running, while Calare Public’s James Conran, Michael Colless from Molong Central School and Yeoval’s Albert Wykes are others competing.
