ATHLETICS
STUDENTS are making history for Orange Anglican Grammar School.
Last week a team of nine students contested the Independent Primary Schools Head Associations (IPSHA) carnival in Sydney.
This is the first time the school has been represented at the IPSHA carnival.
The Orange students were highly competitive with Fletcher Wright producing the fastest time in the eight years boys’ 100m and 200m.
Jeremy Elliott was third in the junior boys’ high jump.
Three IPSHA carnivals have been held, with the top results out of the three carnivals qualifying for the NSW Combined Independent Schools carnival to be held on September 15.
Wright has qualified for the 100m and Elliott will compete in the high jump.
The school’s principal, Ann Brown, said the school was proud of all the students who contested the IPSHA carnival.
Orange Anglican Grammar was just one of two country schools at this particular IPSHA carnival.
