The good book on local services

THE Orange and Cabone Community Directory 2008 is designed to be a handy tool for anyone wishing to make contact with services and businesses in the area.

The booklet contains contact details for a range of sporting groups and clubs, schools and emergency services as well as listings of annual events and maps.

According to Orange City Council community information officer Diana Wilcox, this year’s edition is much easier to use than guides of previous years.

“A lot of people who come in enquiring about different things just pick up a booklet and they find it very useful,” she said.

“Some people like to have a hardcopy version of these details so it’s very handy, particularly for our older visitors.”

Compiled by the Central Western Daily, the 72-page booklet is available at no cost from all Orange City Council offices including the Community Information and Services Centre and the Visitors Information Centre, and the CWD.
