Juiced is a raw and imaginative photo exhibition that captures the wide open space of rural villages and inner-city Orange.

Photographers Seth Buchanan and Chris Bennetts had a mission - starting at midnight, they would each take 24 photos over a 24-hour period.

The exhibition features photos taken across Orange on a chosen day, no matter what the weather was prepared to throw at them.

Mr Buchanan said the resulting exhibition was not “typically touristy photos” but highlighted the diversity of Orange by day and night.

“The photos are all within the Orange area, all different things from buildings to landscape and rural,” he said.

Mr Buchanan said it was a typically cold winter’s day for during the 24-hour photo shoot.

“We shot with available light and just with whatever sun on the day, with no preconceived ideas,” he said.

Mr Buchanan’s day job is as a wedding photographer, however, he and Mr Bennetts were keen to develop their skills by doing something different.

“We really just wanted to challenge ourselves in something that was different to our normal line of work,” he said.

Mr Bennetts said his favourite photo was taken behind Post Office Lane.

“Me and Seth are actually in it and it’s just a little building behind Post Office Lane,” he said.

“There used to be an amusement park there and it’s memories of childhood.”

Mr Bennetts said the exhibition was something the pair had always wanted to do.

“It’s just your average town really, it’s got the rural orchards and the inner-city urban.”

Juiced will be on display at The Barracks Galley, at the southern end of Peisley Street from Friday, July 27, to Sunday, July 29.

The opening night will be held on Friday, July 27 with guests asked to arrive at 6pm for a 7pm start.

Gallery opening times across the weekend are noon to 4pm.
