Roses in full bloom

ORANGE and District Horticultural Society held its annual Rose Show in St Barnabas Church hall on Saturday.

Visitors were impressed with the glorious display, which featured hundreds of roses and late spring flowers, pot plants and floral art.

A special feature of the show was the grand-daughter/grandfather team of Eve Serisier and Graeme Hamilton, who took out the prizes for Champion Novice Rose and Grand Champion Rose respectively.

The next event on the horticultural society’s calendar is the Autumn Flower Show on March 21, 2009.
