Classic cars put on a polished display

15 May, 2008 08:52 AM
EVERYONE is invited to head to Robertson Park on Sunday to see a display of vintage, veteran and classic motor vehicles.

Sunday, May 18, is National Motoring Heritage Day and the Orange and District Antique Motor Club, along with the Gnoo Blas Classic Car Club, will celebrate our motoring heritage and promote old cars between 11am and 1pm at the park.

Ken Gazzard will show off his 1929 Model A Ford Tourer on Sunday, which took him six years to restore.

“We’d like to encourage more younger people to become interested in vintage cars,” he said.

The Gnoo Blas Classic Car Club will also host a short district run on Sunday, starting from Orange Railway Station at 9.30am and heading to Millthorpe via Forest Reefs where the cars will be displayed at the railway station.

They will then drive to Lucknow for a brief stop before returning to Orange for the display in Robertson Park.
